Switching supplier

Visit OpenWater and find out which retailers can supply your business with water from April 17

The water market for all businesses in England has now changed.

Most businesses (including public sector and not-for-profit organisations) can switch their water supplier and their sewerage supplier, much like you can in the energy and telecoms sector.

How the water market in England now works

Competition in the open water market allows businesses to switch their water and sewerage retailer. This means you have the freedom to find the best retailer to suit your business needs.

A retailer will buy water and sewerage services from regional wholesalers and then sell these services on to its customers.

You can find more information about the Open Water market and the possible benefits to you on the Open Water website.
