When can I apply?

We hope to commence our recruitment campaign for our next Graduate intake from April 2010 onwards.

For further information please visit our 'How to Apply' page.

Are there any specific requirements for applicants, for example a particular degree subject or classification?

The Graduate Development Programme is open to applicants from any degree course. Our minimum entry requirement is usually a 2:1, but we are open to hearing from applicants who feel their particular skills and experiences outweigh their academic record.

If I'm a postgraduate or already have some work experience am I still eligible to apply?

We strongly believe that further education and/or work experience add value to an application, so we would encourage you to apply.

Does the package include anything besides salary?

Lots. You'll get access to our contributory pension and personal accident benefit schemes; private healthcare; 26 holiday days a year; and, if your job requires it, a laptop and/or mobile. However, we strongly believe it's not just about the salary, and our Programme also offers a number of intangible benefits, such as the opportunity to form invaluable networking relationships with both mentors and colleagues, along with excellent training and development opportunities.

If my application is successful, when would I start?

Applicants offered a place on the Graduate Development Programme will join the company in January 2011 (date subject to confirmation).

I'm still paying off my student loan. Can you help?

We offer Programme participants a £5,000 interest-free loan.

Where will I be based? Will I be required to travel?

During your time on the Graduate Development Programme, you will be required to work from any of our operational sites across the Anglian Water region and meetings and training courses are held across the region, so a willingness to be mobile is essential. However, we offer up to £2,500 in relocation expenses to assist with the cost of this.

What support will I receive while I am on the Graduate Development Programme?

Don't worry - you'll have a mentor who is a senior manager and a network of previous and current graduate trainees to support you. In addition to this the Graduate Programme Manager will act as your line manager for the duration of the programme.

Do you sponsor work permits?

We are only able to offer positions on the Graduate Development Programme to applicants who are eligible to work in the UK and have a permanent leave to remain in the UK. You will need to prove your eligibility to work in the UK as part of the recruitment process. Unfortunately we cannot consider applications from candidates who have a visa which has time limitations (i.e. a student work visa etc.)

Where can I find out more about the UK water industry?

A good place to start is the Water UK website (http://www.water.org.uk). You could also look at the websites of our regulators ( http://www.ofwat.gov.uk, http://www.dwi.gov.uk  and http://www.environment-agency.gov.uk).
