It’s official – Anglian Water is recorded to be the driest region in the UK with an expected average rainfall of 600 mm. The average for the whole of the UK is 838 mm.  

Every drop counts  

Use these resources to support teaching and learning about the vital role water plays in our lives and how we need to use it wisely to help sustain a healthy environment.

    Drought mystery lesson (pdf, 1.74MB)

    Thinking skills lesson to deepen students’ understanding of drought. Students classify 21 cards and sequence them to answer the Mystery question, ‘Why would we still be in a drought and possibly have a hosepipe ban, even if it rained a lot in the summer?’
