We consulted with Natural England, the Environment Agency and English Heritage in May 2007. As statutory consultees they confirmed that we needed to carry out an environmental assessment during the preparation of our Water Resources Management Plan.
This was to ensure compliance with the European Strategic Environmental Assessment Directive.
We produced an Environmental Report as the output of the detailed strategic environmental assessment that was submitted to the statutory consultees.
We published the Non-Technical Summary of our Environmental Report alongside our Draft Water Resource Management Plan. The Non-Technical Summary describes how we considered the potential effects of our proposed Plan on the environment at an early stage.
