Switch to Pay-as-you-flow

Once we've fitted your water meter you will then be able to switch to Pay-as-you-flow.

How do I know my water meter has been fitted?

How will I know my water meter has been fitted and I can switch to Pay-as-you-flow?

Once the meter has been fitted our contractors will leave an information pack that tells you how you can switch. It also contains lots of helpful information on how to save water and where your meter is located.

Look out for your pack coming through your door soon.

How do I switch to Pay-as-you-flow?

By post: Your guide to switching leaflet will be in your pack posted through your door once the meter has been fitted. Simply complete and pop the card in the post.

By phone: Call us on 08457 919155

By email: Email your name and customer account number to payasyouflow@anglianwater.co.uk

By text: Text METER, followed by your name and customer account number to 80010.

You don’t have to switch but, if you do, you’ll probably save money. Because you’ll only be paying for the water you use and not a drop more.

If this feels like a big decision, don’t worry. There’s a Switch-Back Guarantee. You can change your mind and move back to unmetered water in the next two years.

So you really can’t lose.

The important thing is, when you have a meter you begin to be a bit more careful with the water you use. And if everyone makes this little change of behaviour, a lot of water will be saved.

You can only switch to Pay-as-you-flow once the meter has been installed. Look out for your pack through your door.
