Anglian Water Visitor's Centres are easily accessible to all including disabled visitors. There are special facilities available at some of the centres.
All our Water Parks provide good access and activities for everyone.
Car parking
Our car parks at Rutland Water Park and Grafham Water Park are surfaced and have wheelchair accessible toilets and there is no parking charge for vehicles displaying a blue badge or for coaches.
Our visitor centres are located close to the car parks and are easily accessible by wheelchair users.
Birdwatching
The Anglian Water Birdwatching Centre at Rutland Water Park has a hearing induction loop, but wheelchair access is restricted to the ground floor only. Three of the bird hides at Grafham Water Park and one at Pitsford Water Park have been made accessible to wheelchair users.
Rutland Belle
The Rutland Belle can accommodate wheelchairs using a lift and also has a hearing induction loop so you can listen to the commentary as you take in the views from the water.
Sailing
Disabled sailors are welcome at all our Water Parks and new members are always welcome.
Fishing
Varying water levels can make bank fishing difficult, however there is a surfaced path from the fishing lodge at Rutland Water Park to the harbour wall that is available for most of the season. At our trout fisheries, specially designed wheely boats are available for hire by anglers using a wheelchair and our staff are pleased to help anybody needing assistance. Please telephone in advance to reserve the boat.
Brixworth Country Park
Brixworth Country Park was purpose built with the disabled visitor in mind, facilities include a visitor centre, cafe, sensory garden and a seven-mile waterside track suitable for people with disabilities.
