      Gary Edmonds  took the fish of a lifetime when he landed a colossal 37lb 2oz specimen Pike at Grafham. Gary took this fish on his own fly and it was a personal best.

      The best fish at Ravensthorpe this week was a lovely silver Rainbow of 5lb taken by Stu Payne on Sunday. Stu was fishing in one of Mick Griffin’s matches, which he went on to win.

      The fishing has improved dramatically at Pitsford with fish on the feed in the cooler conditions. This week’s rod average is 5.6 with many great conditioned fish in the 4-5lb bracket being caught.

      Grafham Water week ending 30 July

      The Midlands Final of the Anglian Water Airflo International at Grafham was one of the most closely contested AWAI matches ever. Just one ounce separated third and fourth placed teams and with only the top three teams making it through to the International final at Rutland in October it was a nail biting weigh in.
