Pitsford Water continues to fish well with a rod average of 4.1 for the week.

Fish 213 (season 10,536) Returns 52(2,307) Rod average 4.1(4.5)

Pitsford's best fish of the week was a 5lb Brown caught by Mr Hyde, part of his eight fish bag. There have been numerous other fish reported between 4-5lb.

On Sunday the Mid Northants Trout Fishers hosted their annual Fur and Feather shield match. 21 anglers fished with a five fish limit. The match was won by David Anderson with five fish for 11lb 1oz. The best fish was a Rainbow of 3lb 1oz caught by Terry Bayes. Fish are still feeding well, high in the water with floating or midge tip lines working best. Fish are in the Narrows and along the Pines and around the extensive weedbeds. Fry patterns are starting to account for some good fish now, as well as the shrimp and snail patterns.

Best Brown                        5lb.

Mid week boat winner        Alex Urquhart of Hinckley.
