Wildflower meadow at Alton Water

Alton Water Park attracts a wide range of wildlife both on and around the water.

With the help of volunteers Anglian Water has developed a three-mile nature trail on the south shore which includes woodland, a butterfly garden, a wildflower meadow, ponds and a bird hide. Start your visit from the Stutton car park.

Permits

Access to the reserve is restricted to permit holders. Day and season permits are available from the visitor centre.

An annual Nature Reserve Permit, valid at all of the following water parks, Rutland, Grafham, Pitsford, Hollowell, Ravensthorpe, Taverham and Alton Water. For more information visit the visitor centre.
