Courses for beginners to fly-fishing run throughout the year at Rutland, Grafham and Pitsford Water Parks. Cost £60 and includes course booklet and light lunch. Booking is essential.
Beginner courses
These are run by experienced, qualified instructors, you will receive a full day's tuition covering tackle, casting techniques, presentation, trout behaviour and safety. Use of tackle, course booklet and a light lunch are included for £60 per person. Courses run throughout the year and booking is essential.
After completing the course you will be invited to the free top-up sessions and have the opportunity to buy a Starter Season Permit. This permit gives you access to all four trout fisheries and you can take up to two trout each day with a limit of 75 over the season. You can renew this for one further season and then get a discount if you upgrade to a full season permit. If you attend the course from 1 June there is a pro-rata price for the starter season permit. Please ask at the lodge for details.
Personal coaching
In addition to the courses listed above, we also offer one hour personal tuition with a qualified instructor for £20. Please book via the fishing lodge.
