Anglian Water is planning some eggs-traordinary events for families and young people at Rutland Water this Easter.
The award-winning water park will host an eggs-ceptional Easter Egg Hunt, Easter Activity Session and Easter Explorer.
There will be a chance for visitors to Rutland Water to find an Easter Egg that is hidden somewhere around the Whitwell site. Entry forms are available from Rutland Watersports Centre, with a cost of £1 per entry, and the chance to win a giant chocolate egg until April 17.
On Easter Sunday, 12 April, there are one-hour activity sessions being held including an Easter Egg Hunt, activities and games with prizes to be won. The lucky person to find the golden egg will win a family kayak hire voucher for use during the Easter holidays.
The sessions cost £7.50 per child and booking is advised, although not essential.
The Easter Explorer is a range of environmental activities for children aged between 7 and 11. They will get the opportunity to explore the nature reserve, learn how to identify birds and make a bird feeder for their garden.
The explorer sessions run from 10am to 12.30 and cost £5 per child. They are being held on Thursday, 9 April, and Tuesday, 14 April. To book call Jacky or Alison on 01572 770651.
Also running over the Easter holidays at Rutland Watersports is a Junior Stage 1 and 2 Sailing Course, a splash and dash day for seven to 14 year olds and an opportunity for visitors to hire canoes, kayaks, sailing boats and windsurfs (experience is required for the hire of sailing boats and windsurfers).
