Our Values

At Anglian Water we strive to do the right thing for our people, our customers and the environment.


We have created a simple but powerful values framework for our employees based around our Purpose, our Mission and our Values. We call it our North Star framework, and it gives us a common goal we can all get behind. It brings us together as a business and helps us to shape our strategies now and in the future. And whatever changes we may drive over the years, the heart of who we are and what we stand for will remain constant.

This is about why we do what we do, and it will never change. It shouldn’t be confused with specific goals or business strategies. It’s a guiding star – forever pursued but difficult to reach. That is why it inspires change. The fact that we’re never quite there means we need to work hard at stimulating change – always finding new and better ways to do things.


Our Mission: Water is our business, we handle with care and we don’t cost the earth – this is what we do.


It supports our Purpose. It describes what kind of business we are now and what we’ll be in the future and it’s a way to align everybody to the same focus.

These are the standards of behaviour we will hold ourselves accountable against. They serve to help us support and challenge each other through good times and tough times.
