What are priority services?

Different customer groups who may benefit from our priority service

We understand that from time to time some of our customers will need extra special care and that’s just what our priority service offers.

Register and we can give extra help with... 

  • water when the supply is interrupted 
  • special tariffs 
  • alternative ways of getting information
  • reassurance against bogus callers.

Who’s eligible?

Our priority service is available to a wide range of our customers, from nursing mothers with children under the age of one to kidney dialysis patients who have a dialysis machine at home; customers who have sight or hearing difficulties to those who are frail and elderly or classed as disabled.

You can also apply on behalf of a family member or neighbour so they can benefit from this service.

How do I apply?

Applying is easy, complete the online registration form or you can complete and return the form in the leaflet below.

Minicom service

For customers with speech or profound hearing difficulties we will offer a text telephone service. If you have Minicom, our machine can talk to your machine through a specially installed keyboard.

Our Minicom line is available 24 hours a day on freephone 0800 917 5901

Water meters

If you have a water meter but have difficulty reading it, let us know and we will visit you to discuss how we can help.
