Supporting carers

You support everyone else, let us help support you.

If you’re caring for a loved one, we’re here to help you.

We can add you to our nominee scheme so you can manage your loved one’s account for them, we can help in the event of any interruptions by getting in touch with you directly and work with you to get them the help they need as well as much more!

We want to urge all carers to get their cared for registered for Priority Services to ensure we are able to best support them. You can sign up by calling  0800 232 1951 or find out more and register here

In addition to the help we can give you, we have teamed up with charities like Carers First which works with carers to provide information, advice and guidance. Carers First delivers the Carers Service on behalf of Lincolnshire and Essex County Councils. See below for links to other similar charities covering different parts of our region.

Carers First understand the challenges unpaid carers face and offer timely support to make it easier for them to continue living their lives to the fullest.

They work with carers to identify the best way forward for them as individuals, and support them with practical information on employment issues, how to access respite, as well as helping to navigate sensitive conversations with GP’s, hospitals and social care professionals.

The Carers Hub is available daily, offering carers the opportunity to talk with specialised staff about whatever’s on their minds. They also organise fun activities and social groups, supporting carers who may feel isolated or who wish to connect with others in a similar situation.

Read a case study about how they have supported carers and helped them access services like our Priority Services Register.
