Bank anglers are catching good quality fish with fry patterns attracting fish to 5lb. Big fish are showing again with Browns and Rainbows over 6lb.
Dan Pitcher netted and released a specimen Brown whilst fishing the peninsula bank. Dan estimated this fish, which fell to a minky, at around 4½ - 5lb. Other good fish were reported moving around the weedbeds in different areas off the bank.

Fish are being caught in a good many areas. The open water saw fish caught in the main basin/North Arm Tower, Gibbets Gorse. A good mixture of mini lures, wet flies and nymphs are accounting for many fish with tube flies and snakes working for some boat anglers on the rudder.
