Anglian Water’s Network Protection has been developed to look after the sewer pipes and network.
There are 71,500 Food Service Establishments (FSE's) trading in our region and one of the highest contributors for causing blocked pipes.
80% of these blockages and the associated costs are avoidable and together we can all prevent these from continuing to happen. We want to work together with FSE's to provide more preventative methods, to avoid business closures, help protect the environment and reduce flooding in local communities.
Find out what you can do as a business to stop FOG going down the sink and help protect the environment from risks of flooding.
Legislation
Not only do we want to work together to protect local communities and the environment, but it is also part of UK legislation. It’s a criminal offence under section 111 of The Water Industry Act 1991 to release anything into the public sewers that could interfere with the free flow of wastewater.
