Having clean water and somewhere safe to go to the toilet are the most basic of human needs. It’s something we often take for granted.
For people living in the poorest areas of the developing world, the lack of safe water and sanitation is devastating. As a result around 700,000 children die every year from diarrhoea caused by unsafe water and poor sanitation – that's almost 2,000 children a day.
