Water for Health is Anglian Water's campaign to encourage people to drink more water as part of a healthier lifestyle. Once you feel thirsty, you are already dehydrated and mental performance can decrease by about 10 per cent.

 

 

Functions affected by dehydration include:

  • Memory
  • Attention
  • Concentration
  • Reaction time

The benefits of good hydration can include improved concentration, calmer behaviour, increased energy levels and reduced urinary tract infections.

At Anglian Water we carry out more than 300,000 tests every year to make sure you get top quality water at the turn of a tap. Drinking the recommended amount of water each day is just as important as eating good food. With less than a penny for 20 glasses of cool fresh water you can't afford not to!

Our Water for health campaign provides supporting materials to primary and secondary schools and more recently care homes in the Anglian Water region to help promote the health benefits of good hydration.
