The average daily water consumption (per person) in the Anglian Water region is 133 litres. 80% of our customers pay for what they use by being on a meter.
The average person will use 70% of their daily consumption from personal washing, toilet flushing and hand basin use. The remaining is from dish washing, clothes washing and outdoor use. Only a very small percentage of our daily usage is consumed for drinking water.
You can make big savings by taking 2 minutes less in the shower. If you have a power shower you can use as much as 130 litres in 10 minutes!
