What are we doing

We've teamed up with other like minded water companies - Thames Water, Yorkshire Water, United Utilities, Northumbrian Water and Severn Trent to become a partner in the Start initiative - 'Your Water Companies'.

And here's what we've been up to:

The Royal Tour, 6-10 September 2010

On 6 September, The Prince of Wales launched a busy 5 day tour of Britain, which included Glasgow, Edinburgh, Bristol, Birmingham and many stops in between! He helped spread the word about Start and highlighted the best examples of communities and individuals starting to live more sustainably.

We were there in Glasgow representing Your Water Companies at an exhibition in Glasgow Central Station to promote water efficiency, health and wellbeing and sustainable living.

A Garden Party to Make a Difference

It was 'A Garden Party to Make a Difference' - an imaginative part of the Prince of Wales' Start initiative and offered a rare opportunity to visit the historic gardens of Clarence House, Lancaster House and Marlborough House, hosted by the Prince of Wales.

Anglian Water attended the Marlborough House garden party and showcased a fantastic gravel garden which had been designed for us by Beth Chatto, internationally renowned garden designer.

The garden parties had an intriguing blend of exhibitions, interactive displays, fun activities and live performances but also demonstrated the steps that can and are being taken by us all, to build a more sustainable future.
