Occasionally we may need to turn off your water supply temporarily to carry out planned or emergency work. If you are registered for WaterCare we will provide the following services

Supply interruptions

  • For blind or partially sighted customers, we will visit to tell you when interruptions are planned and what to expect
  • For deaf or hard of hearing customers, we will visit you during an emergency, as you may not hear loudspeaker announcements from our vans. Advance warning cards will be left when planned interruptions are made
  • If for medical reasons you require a constant water supply please tell us so that we can make special arrangements
  • If the water supply needs to be turned off for more than 24 hours we will provide alternative water supplies.

Bills

Do you have difficulty reading your bill? If so we can:

  • Read your bill to you over the telephone
  • Send you a copy of your bill in Braille or large print
  • Send your bill to a friend or relative (your nominee) who helps you with your bills
  • Send all correspondence to your nominee
