Joe Mordawska, who runs Bugtopia with his partner Natalie, encourages visitors get up close and personal with an eclectic mix of creatures including giant stick insects, foot-long millipedes, monitor lizards and caymans. Feeding displays and interactive handling sessions will be on the agenda, including the chance to have your picture taken with a palm-sized tarantula. Bugtopia adds to a long list of attractions for all the family at Sykes Lane, Rutland Water.

Owners Joe Mordawska and Natalie Matts hope to educate youngsters and adults alike about the value of conservation.
Joe said: “We’re trying to teach kids and adults about conservation, ecology and biodiversity so they understand what’s going on in the world.”
