What to do

Rutland Water Park is serviced by a 25-mile circular track for both walking and cycling. Cycle hire is available if you don't want to bring your own. Getting out and enjoying the water couldn't be easier at our Watersports Centre and Sailing Clubs. Even a novice can get out on the water. Rutland Water Park offers world-class trout fishing and bird watching. Our Nature Reserve is (summer only) home to the first breeding Ospreys in England for 150 years.

Parking

Rutland Water Park has four main car parks close to the attractions and facilities. Car parking charges apply - annual car parking permits are also available and are valid for all Water Park car parks and can be purchased from Anglian Water visitor centres and shops.

Public transport

'Shorelink' the exciting new bus service links sites around Rutland Water with Oakham and Uppingham.  With timetabled stops around Rutland Water  you can hop on and off.  For more information on Shorelink and to view the timetable and ticket prices click here

Access

Centred on a 25-mile surfaced track, suitable for cycles and pushchairs, are a number of well maintained access routes servicing our activity centres and attractions. Facilities have been adapted for disabled access where appropriate and activities cater for disabled visitors.

Opening times

Rutland Water Park is open every day except Christmas Day and most attractions and activities are available every day from Good Friday until 31st October, when reduced hours are advertised. Barnsdale car park is closed 1st November to 1st March, but all others are open throughout the year. Site closing times are advertised at car park entrances - a guideline would suggest between 9am and dusk. Please contact any Anglian Water Visitor Centre for more information
