Taverham Mill

Taverham Mill is one of the most attractive spots in East Anglia and is situated by an old weir and mill pool on the river Wensum. The 20-acre lake has a fishing lodge and basic self-catering accommodation ideal for keen anglers and bird watchers.

What to do

Adjacent to Taverham lake there are several newer gravel pits at Costessey, which are stocked with carp. Lake number 2 at Costessey is also used for waterskiing during the summer.

Parking

The car park at the Fishing Lodge is for anglers and those visiting shop or nature reserve. There is also parking for anglers at Costessey Lakes. Keys are available from Taverham Mill fishing lodge to access the car park.

Access

Access to Taverham lake has been vastly improved by the installation of a boardwalk across the meadow to the waters edge. Access to Taverham Mill fishery is restricted to permit holders only.
