Anglian Water is holding a public exhibition in Bedford for people living in streets affected by its lead pipe replacement programme.

The £1 million scheme will replace lead water pipes serving more than 2,500 homes in 63 streets in town centre and in the Goldington and Queens Park areas.

Now a drop-in session is to be held for people living in the town centre. It will be held at the Park Road Methodist Church in Park Road West between 3.30pm to 6.30pm on Monday, February 18th.

Toni Holtby, Lead Strategy Manager for Anglian Water, said: “The work is going well so far and we are determined to make sure the project causes as little disruption as possible to the life of the town and its people.

“Part of that is keeping people informed. All those living in streets affected by the work will get a leaflet inviting them to the session and I would encourage them to pop along and see us.”
