A short section of Hunstanton’s promenade will be partially closed from Monday (30 January) for two weeks while a damaged section of sewer is repaired.
The £30,000 project by Anglian Water will replace a small section of 1930’s storm overflow sewer which has collapsed.
Antony Innes, Anglian Water, said: “We have been working with the Borough Council to inform traders of what is going on and why. We also agreed to complete the work during the winter to minimise any disruption.
“The promenade will remain open at all times, however half of the walkway closest to the sea will be cordoned off during the work.
“This is a small but very important project for us. Making sure these storm water sewers are working correctly helps to reduce the chances of sewers becoming overloaded and affecting our customers.”
