From late night feeds, to keeping on top of the washing, to fitting in bathtime, we understand that with new babies comes change and every little helps.

That’s why we’ve partnered with Healthcare Visitors in Lincolnshire to offer you a free BabyDam to make bathtime quicker, easier and cheaper.

BabyDam is a barrier for your bath worth £38.99, and we’ll send you one completely free of charge (including delivery) if you sign up for our exciting water-saving trial.

What is the BabyDam trial and why should I take part?

At Anglian Water, we’re always looking for ways to help our customers save water and protect this precious resource. To support families with little ones at home, we’re offering free BabyDams to eligible households. This is part of a trial to understand more about reducing families’ water consumption.

 

Taking part helps shape our future plans for managing water resources. 

The award-winning BabyDam barrier is a clever gadget which creates a smaller space in your family bath, reducing the water needed to wash your baby.  
The BabyDam is:

 

  • Easy to fit in most UK baths (approx. max width: 570mm) 
  • Designed to only use the water and space you need in the bath
  • Suitable for newborns, toddlers, and beyond
  • Adjustable - it grows as your child grows
  • Fully safety-tested to meet European Standards

To take part, you need to be able to answer "yes" to the following: 

 

•  A smart water meter installed at your home
•  Your water’s supplied by Anglian Water
•  Your postcode starts with PE20, PE21, PE22, PE24, PE25, DN21 or NN1
•  You’ve got a baby under 12 months old (or one on the way)


Whether you’re renting or a homeowner, you can take part if you meet the criteria.  


Please note we’re offering 750 BabyDams on a first come, first served basis. You can claim one per eligible household. 

The trial will start in Spring 2025 and will run initially for 12 months.

Yes! As part of our water-saving strategy, we have invested in the BabyDam to help our customers save water and money. You can continue using it for as long as needed - even for other purposes, like bathing pets. 


When you no longer need it, we encourage you to pass it on to another family to keep the savings going. 

We’ll collect your name, postal address, and email address, to confirm your eligibility and deliver your BabyDam. 


We will use your anonymised monthly water consumption data for the duration of the trial from the readings we already get from your smart water meter, as well as for the same period the previous year as a comparator. Once anonymised, we will not be able to identify your households specific water consumption in the trial.   


This data helps us understand how the BabyDam impacts a households average water consumption and informs our future water-saving initiatives.

Anglian Water will manage your smart meter data (anonymised), consent record, and any survey responses or feedback you provide. BabyDam will use your details to fulfil your order and provide product support. 


By signing up, you consent to us contacting you with optional surveys and feedback requests during the trial.

We’ll compare your anonymised monthly water usage from the year before you received the BabyDam with your usage during the trial. This is so we can see if the BabyDam has an impact on households water usage.

BabyDam will use the delivery information you provide to send your BabyDam. Anglian Water will also use your data to keep in touch, send optional surveys and ask for feedback for the duration of the trial.

If you're unsure if you have a smart meter, please register or login to MyAccount and on the homepage under the “Water usage” section it will show whether you have a smart meter.
