Site tour around the sewage works in Chelmsford

Visit one of our purpose built education centres at a water recycling centre at no charge to the school. The education centres can be found at Chelmsford in Essex and Leighton Linslade in Bedfordshire.

Current availability

Our outreach and education centres are heavily booked for the remainder of the academic year. Please email and we will let you know if we have any availability for you.

Visits involve a tour, offering an opportunity to discover the sights, sounds and smells of a water recycling centre. Fun, interactive sessions in our well-equipped classroom provide an exciting range of experiences to bring the water topic to life. Sessions are led by a qualified teacher and designed to link to the school curriculum. However, we are happy to design a specific programme for your needs.

We cater for groups from year 2 upwards. Special needs groups are welcome at all centres with disabled access available.

Secondary and further education groups are also welcome with specific sessions catering for GCSE, AS and A-level, BTEC and Young Apprentices.

Council for learnign outside the classroom - quality badge

All of our education centres have been awarded the Learning Outside the Classroom Quality badge. Sessions are also supported with our online resources for pre and post work. If you have booked a visit you can use our letter template here to send to parents so you know what to bring.

Everything was tailored to my students needs. They were focussed throughout the visit. The students didn't stop talking about the visit - even when they were going home they were thanking me for organising it. A sign of a good trip!!! Many many thanks!
