As part of our ongoing work with schools across the Anglian Water region, we’re pleased to be able to tell you about our response to Coronavirus. We are offering a suite of 12 STEM based sessions online that can be accessed by children at home at no charge.
The aim of the sessions is to help pupils think about water; how it is vital to life; what we need it for; where it comes from and how we can all use water wisely.
The sessions will (for the most part) follow a similar format:
• Short introductory video/ talk or information sharing
• Short investigation
• Long challenge or activity (These have been designed so the children can access the activity with limited or no input from carers and guardians).
Information for teachers
We've created the sessions, so all your students will be able to engage with them, whether they have access to IT or not. If you are printing out copies for families without IT we have made sure the Session information sheets, Activity sheets and Supporting session sheets can be printed in black and white. If the students don’t have all the resources for all the investigations, they will still be able to get involved.
Information for families
We hope you enjoy the 12 sessions and have lots of fun investigating, crafting and creating. Don’t worry if you don’t have all the resources or if you can’t print the pages. There are lots of interactive investigations and challenges that you will still be able to do. Have fun learning all about water!
We will be posting the links to the sessions below along with links to any resources needed and accompanying videos.
