When we launched  Love Every Drop in 2010, there was a fundamental change in our business ethos as we moved to championing sustainability in everything we do. Below are some of the accolades we’ve received that recognise our achievements so far:

Queen’s Award 2020: Sustainable Development

The way we do business, and the hard work of all our people has been recognised for a second time with a Queen’s Award for Enterprise in Sustainable Development.

Voted the water company number one for service for 2018/2019

Ranked the highest by the water industry regulator Ofwat, with an overall score of 90 out of 100. The industry average was 84.4.

Water Company of the Year 2019: Water Industry Awards

The award recognises and celebrates outstanding achievement and innovation across the UK water industry.

Utility Week Award 2018: Utility of the Year

The award recognises the outstanding utility that sets a benchmark for others to aspire to.

Glassdoor 2018 Best Places to Work

Employer review website Glassdoor has revealed that Anglian Water has topped it’s annual best place to work table. After coming second to Google in the annual league table last year, the website, which uses online reviews by current and former staff, placed Anglian Water in the top spot for 2019.

International Water Association 2018: Gold Award for Innovation

After fierce competition of 160 entries from 45 countries, our Innovation Shop Window Project won Gold in the ‘Performance Improvement and Operational Solutions’ category.

International Water Association 2018: Silver Award

Our Integrated Leakage and Pressure Management solution took second place in the ‘Smart Systems and the Digital Water Economy’ field. 

Business in the Community: Responsible Business of the Year 2017

This award recognises companies that put social and environmental concerns at the heart of their business.

Queen’s Award 2015: Sustainable Development

The Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA)

We received the prestigious Gold award, again, at RoSPA’s 2018 Health and Safety Awards. RoSPA receives entries from organisations around the world, recognising health and safety management performance, including leadership and workforce involvement.

Leading Utilities of the World

Leading Utilities of the World is a global network of the world’s most successful and innovative water and wastewater utility providers. We’re the only water company in England and Wales invited to join the network.

Our Grafham Resilience Scheme won the Capital Project Management category at the Utility Week Awards. The judges called it a “fantastic exemplar for the industry, using technical innovation to deliver outstanding results while driving massive reductions in cost"

We and our partners at @one Alliance won the Supply Chain Excellence category at the Utility Week Awards. We were seen as a national champion in working together for infrastructure delivery. Personnel Today

We, in partnership with Lane4 and Loughborough University’s School of Business and Economics, won the prestigious Personnel Today Award for Excellence in Learning & Development.


Employee Wellbeing Awards

Our Chief Executive, Peter Simpson has been nominated to receive the first Reward and Employee Benefits Association’s Employee Wellbeing Visionary Award.

British Construction Industry Awards

British Construction Industry Awards,Carbon Reduction Project of the Year.

We and our partners, Mott MacDonald and JN Bentley, won the Carbon Reduction Project of the Year award for our Grafham Resilience Project at the British Construction Industry Awards.


Defence Employer Recognition Scheme
We received a silver award from the Ministry of Defence for our work helping former services personnel into work. We’ve signed the MoD’s Corporate Covenant, a promise to do all we can to give Army, Navy and RAF leavers new career opportunities.
