Each year we make a number of small grants to organisations around our region to support environmental projects that help wetland wildlife. Here’s what you need to know if you’re thinking of applying.
What type of work do you fund?
We provide grants to enhance the status of wetland habitats and/or wetland species. Projects should take place within the Anglian Water and Hartlepool Water regions, including coastal habitats above low tide.
The fund covers:
habitat creation and restoration
invasive non-native species control and eradication where this benefits priority habitats and species
surveys that are a small part of a wider project you’re seeking for, for example when a project requires a protected species survey in order to comply with the law
interpretation when it’s a small part of a wider project you’re seeking funding for
equipment necessary to deliver the project
reasonable travel expenses.
How much funding is available?
The total grant pot is £40,000 and we offer grants between £2,000 and £10,000.
How do I apply?
The next application window opens on 2nd May 2022 and the deadline for applications is the 1st August 2022. Find out more here.
