It is the legal duty of the owner, occupier, installer or plumber to ensure the Water Supply (Water Fittings) Regulations are met and to notify the water supplier before any plumbing work begins.
If the owner or occupier doesn’t seek permission, then the duty rests with the installer or plumber to notify. Filling in the form below will meet the requirements of notification.

Contractors' certificate

Where a water fitting is installed, altered, connected or disconnected by an approved contractor, the contractor shall upon completion of the work furnish a signed certificate stating whether the water fitting complies with the requirements of these Regulations to the person who commissioned the work.
