All the water we source is borrowed from nature so we take our responsibility as a custodian of the environment very seriously. We all have a legal and moral duty to protect and enhance our environmentally diverse region which contains:
thousands of kilometres of rivers
the UK's only nationally-protected wetland landscape - the Norfolk and Suffolk Broads
48 designated bathing waters
over 7000 Sites of Special Scientific Interest (47 are on our land)
large areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
Our region is one of the driest in the UK, with an extensive coastline and low-lying land, making it particularly vulnerable to the effects of climate change.
