The donations came from across the programme, including Anglian Water’s reservoir programme office, Costain site teams, and delivery partners and suppliers such as Flannery, Headland Archaeology, Blackwell and Hercules PLC.

On Friday 12 December, members of the reservoir project teams visited the hospital to deliver the gifts personally.

Adam Robinson, Senior Programme Manager at Anglian Water, said:
“We’re so delighted that our reservoir teams, along with our partners, have come together to spread a little Christmas cheer for the children at Boston Pilgrim Hospital. Thanks to everyone’s generosity, we’ve been able to provide gifts that we hope will bring smiles and comfort to the children and their families during what can be a difficult time. It’s a small gesture, but one we hope makes their Christmas feel a little brighter.”

United Lincolnshire Hospitals Charity Manager, Ben Petts, said:
“We are overwhelmed by the generosity from Anglian Water and everyone who supported them with this magnificent donation of gifts. It will help make Christmas that little bit special for patients on our children’s wards or visiting as an outpatient over the festive period.”

Brad Dolan, Construction Manager at Costain, said:
“Delivering social value is fundamental to ensuring that infrastructure projects leave a positive, long-term legacy that improves people’s lives. We have been delighted to work with Anglian Water on this fantastic initiative that has brought together the entire programme, and we hope it will spread some festive cheer to those children and their families who need it most.”
