Our LITE and Extra LITE tariffs are one of the ways we can support you if you have little spare money once your bills are paid and you’re struggling to pay your water bill.

Need help with your water bill?
Our LITE and Extra LITE tariffs give a discount of up to 50% on your ongoing charges, the tariff is for households on low incomes who have a water meter at home (or are happy to get one fitted for free).  If you don’t already have a meter fitted, complete our Extra Care Assessment to see if you’d be better off on one.

How do I apply for a discounted tariff?
You’ll just need to complete our Extra Care Assessment. It takes around 10 minutes to do and will ask you a few simple questions about your household, property details and your income and outgoings. Please take the time to answer all of the questions that are applicable to you.  This will prevent any delays in processing your application. If you're unsure how to answer any of the questions you can use the need help tool within the application.

To apply, just call our Extra Care team on 0800 169 3630.  Our lines are open 8am to 8pm Monday to Friday and 8am to 4pm on Saturdays. Or you can answer the questions yourself online. Anything you tell us will be completely confidential and we’ll only ever ask you questions that are relevant to your application.

When it’s complete we’ll be able to find you the right tariff and explore other ways to help you stay on top of your bills.   We may ask you for proof of your household income and/or benefits to be eligible for any discount and if successful, you'll be placed on our LITE or Extra LITE tariff.

What happens once I'm on the LITE tariff?

Once you’re on your discounted tariff you’ll need to make regular payments to keep it active. If you’re worried about your finances or you’re falling behind on your bill, our Extra Care team can set up a payment plan for you to make sure what you’re paying is covering what you’re using, as well as clearing anything overdue.

We’ll then do a review with you once a year to make sure the tariff you’re on is still the best fit for you by completing a new Extra Care Assessment. If this suggests you’re still eligible for one of our LITE tariffs, you’ll need to provide evidence of your household income.

When we get in touch for your review, we’ll use the contact details you’ve given us.  This will be via:
