Anglian Water Smart Meters provide customers visibility of their water use, help identify water leaks, and give an early warning if a customer's water bill will be higher than normal. We have a legal obligation to manage and protect the water supply in our region, where we are upgrading meters to smart meters to help support our public interest obligations set out by our regulators

In the future, your upgraded meter will help us find and fix leaks faster than ever before - we'll even be able to contact you if we think you have leak. With meters across the region, we can better understand water use across the year and plan for water demand in specific towns. And when more homes have an upgraded meter, we won't need to make as many visits to read meters or fix faulty ones (saving time, carbon and money!).
As water meters are assets that belong to Anglian Water, this means we can upgrade our assets to best serve our customers and meet our responsibilities.
