Any flooding experience can be stressful but there are organisations and charities, including ourselves, that can help with recovery after a flood.

If you own your home or property, it's best to contact your insurer early on to see if flooding damage is covered by your home insurance or a separate policy. They also may be able to offer help with cleaning up after a flood.

We're here to support you

If there's been a problem with the public sewer network and flooding has affected your home,  we’ll get to you as quickly as we can. Once we’ve found the cause, we’ll do everything possible to clean up and put things right, including any compensation you’re eligible for.

Check if you're eligible

If the flooding was caused by any of the following, you won't be eligible for compensation:

-extreme weather
-problems with sewer pipes that are owned by you. Find more information about sewer pipe responsibility.

Where we make a payment, it’s not an admission of liability for any other purpose. Similarly, your acceptance of the payment doesn’t affect any other liability owed to you.

Other support available
