Whether you’re filling in an Extra Care Assessment for the first time or as part of an annual review, we may ask you for proof of your household income to check you’re eligible.

You’ll need to include proof of the income for everyone that lives in your home. For children, we only need evidence of income if they are over 18 and not in full time education, or over 20 and in full time education or training.

We accept different kinds of evidence depending on what your circumstances are. Here are just a few examples:

  • For anyone who’s employed, you need to send us a recent payslip.
  • For anyone who’s self-employed, you need to send us a tax return, a recent bank statement, or a certificate from your accountant.
  • For anyone receiving means-tested benefits, you can send us a copy of any letter that shows the benefit they get, and how much it is.
  • If you don’t have any kind of household income and you’re living off savings, you’ll need to send us evidence of your savings, and any interest you’ve received.

How can I send you the documents you need to see?

Any documents you send us need to show the name and address of the person they relate to.   Without this we can't process your audit or review.

You’ve got a few choices:

  • If we’ve sent you a text (it’ll come from the number 07312 263827).  Simply to the message. Then just upload your documents as photos from your phone.
  • You can start a chat with us on Whatsapp or send a message to 07441 444 957. Then just upload your documents as photos in the chat.
  • You can email us at customerservices@anglianwater.co.uk and attach copies of your documents to your message.
  • Or you can post copies of your documents to Anglian Water, PO Box 4994, Lancing, BN11 9AL.

If you'd like to post original documents and need these returned, you need to clearly state this with the documentation you provide us.
