Replace my existing supply

You may want to replace your existing water supply if:

You need to upsize or relocate the water supply for your property
The existing water supply in your property is old and affecting water quality or pressure
The existing property is demolished for a new property or properties to be developed
The existing property is on a common shared supply
The existing property is divided into flats or multiple properties.

Is there a charge for replacing my existing supply?

In most cases replacement water connections will be rechargeable to the applicant using our standard charges and subject to standard charge VAT.

I have lead pipes, do I still have to pay?

If the existing service pipe is lead, the replacement water connection may be free of charge.

To qualify for a free of charge lead replacement water connection, the following must apply.

The existing water service pipe from the property/highway boundary up to the Anglian Water main must be lead pipe
The applicant must lay a new service pipe from the property to the highway boundary
The new service pipe must be the same size as the existing water service pipe (where existing pipe is 15mm diameter lead pipe we will replace in 25mm plastic pipe).
You must have an active billing account with us as a domestic or retail customer

How do I apply?

You can apply by registering and logging on to our portal InFlow and completing the 'New Water Connection(s) including TBS' application form.
