An £11m fund available to support projects across the 11 A-WINEP rural catchments. Improving the ecological health of the waterbodies.
Launching on 28th January 2026 the fund will support projects across the 11 A-WINEP rural catchments and the two urban catchments of Great Yarmouth and Southend-on-sea (details below).
To apply for funding in the 11 rural catchments, projects must have at least one of the following two outcomes as their primary goal:
Wider benefits, such as biodiversity, educational and community improvements will add additional strength to a project’s application but projects must, in the first instance, meet one of the outcomes detailed above.
Applications to the grant fund will go to a Review Panel, whose role it is to assess the strength of the application against other applications and decide on whether to grant funding.
